Electrician A Days - Garland, TX

Interceramic, Tile & Stone Gallery is a dynamic and expanding network of wholesale and selection centers featuring the finest selection of ceramic tile, porcelain and natural stone available in the market today. We currently have an immediate opening for a Full-Time Electrician in our Garland, Texas manufacturing plant.

Shift: Sun-Tues 6am-6pm, Wed 6am-Noon

Candidates will need to complete a drug screen and a background search.
 

Summary      

 

Maintains, modifies, and installs electrical equiptment in the plant.                                              

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Performing predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance.

 

Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components

 

Repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools

 

Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools

 

Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using ohmmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system

 

Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes

 

Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3-5 years’ experience with electrical controls and PLCs (troubleshooting) as well as three-phase 480 VAC systems, motors, transformers, power supplies, air compressors, A/C units, etc.  Hydraulics experience is a plus but not required.

 

Language Skills          

 

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.               

 

Mathematical Skills   

 

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.  Must pass a basic math test prior to hire.

Summary                   

 

Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments.                                

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Examining contents and comparing with records, such as manifests, internal requisitions, returns, and orders.

 

Verify accuracy of outbound all shipments

 

Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate stock, gather stock, relocate stock and move material to keep our systems accurate and up-to-date at all times

 

Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials

 

Loads, picks and verifies orders while maintaining department schedule

 

Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information

 

Requisitioning and storing shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

 

Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

 

Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase receiving efficiency

Responsibilities include, but not limited to; answering a multiple line phone, distribution and tracking of samples, labeling and displaying new product in the showroom,Disposing of discontinued product as needed, ordering, tracking and filing new literature samples and boards,helping customers and selecting product, maintenance and decorating showroom, assisting sales reps and some clerical work. Floor covering experience will just be a bonus.
