Customer Service Representative - Carrollton, TX

Job Description

Interceramic has been an industry leader in manufacturing innovative ceramic and porcelain tile in North and Central America for over 35 years.  We currently have a great opportunity for a dynamic self-motivated Customer Service Representative. This position will office out of our new corporate headquarters that will be located in Carrollton, TX beginning January of 2017. 

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

Processing customer phone and fax orders

 

Answering customer questions about pricing, availability, and order status

 

Providing exceptional customer service to exceed customer expectations

 

Work in a fast paced environment and is a self-starter, reliable and can multi task

 

Managing important customer accounts

 

Supporting outside sales representatives to ensure customer needs are being met

 

Explaining available services

 

Correcting errors

 

Providing information on pricing, availability, shipping date, anticipated delays, order status, and any additional information needed by customer, using email or telephone

 

Taking orders by phone and fax, entering orders into system, and determining total cost for customer

 

Developing leads and managing important customer accounts

 

Checking inventory control and notifying appropriate parties of orders that would deplete stock

 

 

Conferring with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments

 

Informing customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays,

This requires sound knowledge to navigate company's customer information system and/or systems along with a good knowledge of company, services and products

 

Filling out contract forms, determining charges for service requested, collecting deposits, preparing change of address records, and issuing discontinuance orders.

 

Some inside sales.

 

Working with other departments to resolve customer complaints or problems.

Electro-Mechanical Technician - Garland, TX

Interceramic, Tile & Stone Gallery is a dynamic and expanding network of wholesale and selection centers featuring the finest selection of ceramic tile, porcelain and natural stone available in the market today. We currently have an immediate opening for a Full-Time Electro-Mechanical Technician in our Garland, Texas manufacturing plant.

Candidates will need to complete a drug screen and a background search.

Summary      

 

Operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electro-mechanical equipment, may assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

1) Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.

 

3) Inspect parts for surface defects.

 

4) Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.

 

5) Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.

 

6) Repair, rework, and calibrate pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.

 

7) Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic voltmeters.

 

8) Performing predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance.

 

9) Inspect electronic or electric parts for defects, including circuit boards, PLC’s, sensors, relays, power supplies, DC, AC, Stepper and Servo motors, and other electronic and motion control components

 

10) Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

 

Education and/or Experience                                                   

 

Industrial control software, experience with troubleshooting PLC’s required, drivers and inverters. 

Experience with Ladder Logic programming.

Minimum 2 years of experience. 5+ years of experience preferred.

PC software, Microsoft Excel, Word, email, etc.

Mathematical Skills   

 

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.  Must pass a basic math test prior to hire.
