"I see inspiration in everything around me, from color and style trends in home decor today and in the future to the things that surround me as I spend time with my wife and children. Inspiration comes from life."
"Always a healthy ratio of classic to eclectic."
It depends on what we’re working on, a high-end marble look might require a classic approach, a modern wall tile will need a closer look at the latest trends and color moods.
Ours is first and foremost a team effort, we start by identifying the main needs from our customer base and sales teams, once we have that feedback it’s a matter of matching that information to whatever design cues we’re following. Then we go back to the team with prototypes to make sure we interpreted their message correctly.
Constantly evolving but always with a healthy ratio of classic to eclectic
If you have a clear idea of the goal you’re trying to achieve with a certain product then this balance becomes pretty evident. This first part is the hardest though
I see product evolve so quickly that its hard to pinpoint an all-time favorite, but some honorable mentions in my book would have to be: Gosford Park Foliage (because it’s not every day you see a blue/green wood plank), Ripple Rose and Burgundy (we used velvet swatches as reference to achieve that rich color), and all of the Form collection.
